Monhegan Island Day Trip

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard MWR is hosting a day trip to Monhegan Island on Saturday, June 4. Discover why Monhegan Island is so popular yet so quiet. No cars, no streets, and no shopping malls. The cost to participate is $65 (includes van & boat transportation) and $45 (drive yourself and meet at the boat). 

We will leave PNSY at 6 a.m. and head to New Harbor, Maine where we will cruise to and visit the island for five hours. You can hike the cliff trails, see the Monhegan Lighthouse, visit the art museum, and have a fish taco on Fish Beach (meals are on your own). We will depart the island at 3 p.m. and make a quick stop in Damariscotta before heading back. We will return to PNSY by 8 p.m. Stop by the Tickets & Travel office to sign up for this trip.
